Christmas Crown **REPOST**

Original Post: 12/6/08

A circular wreath is an emblem of Christmas, perfection, and unity. The holy wreath first symbolized Christ's suffering and ultimate triumph over death.
It's sharp pointed leaves resemble the crown of thorns worn by Jesus on the cross.
The red berries represent drops of his blood.
Wreaths were later formed using evergreen boughs, which remain colorful in winter,
to illustrate that Jesus has eternal life.
